Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We are by appointment only but offer both in studio sessions in Marlow or home-visits. See link below for details.
How long does the Iris shoot take?
Capturing your Iris typically takes around 10 minutes. After that, we have plenty of time during the rest of your appointment to chat about any effects you might be interested in and explore your Wall Art options.
Is anything put in my eye?
No. The process of capturing your Iris is non invasive.
Does the process hurt at all?
No. We have a chin/head rest for your comfort and the camera lens is moved backwards or forwards to focus on your iris.
Do you use flashes?
Yes we use flash photography and ask that if anyone is sensitive to flashing lights, such as those with photosensitive epilepsy, to refrain from booking an appointment.
I have contact lenses, will you be able to capture my Iris?
We ask customers to remove their contact lenses at the time of the shoot, as the flash will reflect off them and make the image unusable. We do have disposable contact lens kits if you don't have one with you.
How long until I see my Iris image?
We will take a number of photos and then present these to you soon after. We will discuss the best image to use and delve into the colours and textures, guiding you in crafting your distinctive piece of art as an integral part of your experience with us.
Do I have to add effects to my Iris?
No you don't. In fact, many clients like the untouched and natural 'Simple' iris effect that has no effects added. We collaborate with you to deliver your preferences and the decision to incorporate additional effects is entirely yours.
How many Irises can be combined into 1 image?
We can create as many Irises into one image but would ask that you give us a call or email us to get a price, as more time will be needed in taking the Irises and for post production.
Do you take group bookings?
Yes we do. Please send us an email with your requirements and we can get back to you shortly.
Do you do events?
Absolutely! Please contact us with your requirements and we would be happy to put a quote together for you.
Will I be able to view the different types of wall art at my appointment?
Absolutely. At our studio, we offer a comprehensive selection of wall art finishes for you to explore. Additionally, we have frame chevrons available in a variety of colours and finishes, enabling you to experience the aesthetics and textures of our frames first-hand. Moreover, during all home visit sessions, we bring along our entire range of wall art options along with samples for your convenience.
Am I committed to buying wall art on the day of my appointment?
The benefits of buying your wall art on the day is that we offer a £25 wall art credit for each Iris that is shot and these can only be used during your iris appointment. They will not be able to be used afterwards. For example a family of 4 would get £100 wall art credit
What is the minimum age?
We can shoot the irises of children from 5 years of age, as they need to be able to sit still during the photo session.
